Eilish McCann is a painter based in County Wexford, Ireland. She makes figurative work in paint and print mediums. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, including Beep Wales (2022, 2020); Royal Watercolour Society Open, London (2022); the Ruth Borchard Prize, UK (2021) and the Hennessy Portrait Prize, the National Gallery of Ireland (2017).
Eilish holds a Diploma in Art and Design with distinction from the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (2001) and recently completed the Turps Art School, London correspondence course in painting 2019-2021. She has received a Visual Arts Bursary, a Professional Development Award and an Agility Award from the Arts Council. Previous studies include a certificate course in Animation Drawing Studies at Ballyfermot College of Further Education, Dublin (1998) and a BA Honours in English and German studies from Trinity College Dublin (1995).
